Below you will find information regarding any upcoming trainings that the Council or your District have planned in the near future. Remember that Every Scout Deserves A Trained Leader. BALOO training is offered at Seven Mountains Scout Camp on April 29th-April 30th 2023. Registration is 8:00 –8:30 a.m. on Saturday. The course concludes Sunday morning. This course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for those leaders who are interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities. BALOO is an instructor-led course which is conducted at the Council level. BSA’s Cub Scout level camping policies will be taught along with the necessary tools to help units carry out a successful camping experience. Completion of this course is mandatory for at least one adult on a Pack overnighter.
• Cost is $25, if registered by April 21.
• Cost is $30, if registered after April 21
What to Bring:
1. Proof that you have completed the required online, pre-requisite portion of BALOO
2. Class A uniform for opening and closing ceremonies. Class B may be worn for all other sessions.
3. Tent and camping equipment.
Please bring your own food if you have any food allergies.

IOLS is held on a Saturday – Sunday morning at Seven Mountains Scout Camp. Registration is from 8:00AM-8:30 a.m. The course concludes at Sunday morning 11:00am. Working as patrols, this hands-on course provides adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Upon completion, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain the First Class rank. Along with Scoutmaster Specifics this course is required of all direct contact leaders registered in Boy Scout Troops and Varsity Scout Teams, in order to be considered "trained."

Cost: $25 if registered by April 21.

Cost is $30 after April 21. This includes all meals and materials.

What to Bring:
1. Tents are required for the overnight stay, camping equipment.
2. Class A uniforms for opening and closing ceremonies. Class B may be worn for other sessions.
3. A “Silva” type compass, if you have one, for the map and compass session.
If you have any food allergies, please bring your own food.
