  • NYLT (National Youth Leadership Training)
    Juniata Valley and Susquehanna Council will present National Youth Leadership Training June 23-29, 2019 at Seven Mountains Scout Camp, 227 Sand Mountain Rd., Spring Mills, PA. NYLT is an exciting, action-packed program designed for councils to provide youth members with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home troops, crews, or ships and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others. To participate, you must be be a registered member of the BSA at least 14 years old, First Class Scout rank, and completed ILST (Females in new troops do not need to be First Class); a registered Venturer and completed ILSC; or a registered Sea Scout and completed ILSS. Unit leader recommendation and BSA's Annual Health and Medical Record, Parts A/B/C, are required. For more information go to,
  • Scouts BSA: Boys & Girls 11-17 Starts February 1
    With more than 130 Merit Badges-from Archery and Art to Welding and Wilderness Survival-Scouting is the ultimate form of learning by doing. Scouts BSA members explore their interests and improve their skills while working toward Scouting's highest rank: Eagle. By first imagining, planning, then doing their own service projects, Scouts BSA members learn the value of hard work and experience the thrill of seeing it pay off. Add in outdoor adventures, hiking, and camping, and Scouting gives boys & girls all the experience they need to become excellent leaders.
  • Council Camporee: Save the Date
    Save the date for Juniata Valley Council's Council Camporee will be held May 3-5, 2019 at Seven Mountains Scout Camp (Camp Hollywood) where Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers are the Stars! Learn about production, acting and film making with your fellow Scouts from the Oneida, Shawnee and Nittany Mountain Districts. Bring your own Scout-appropriate costumes and props and let the fun begin!
